I have been working in the Early Childhood industry for 22 years and joined Active Kids Group in 1997.
My love for children is what inspired me to continue my journey in early childhood whilst completing my Diploma. There is nothing more rewarding than knowing you have contributed in some way to the lives of children.
I have been fortunate to have had opportunities within AKG in several roles. Room Leader, Service Coordinator and currently Operations Manager.
Throughout my Active Kids years, I took some time out to operate my own Home-Based Care and after 5 years, returned ‘home’ to AKG.
My role within AKG has allowed me to establish relationships with children, families and work closely to support and guide Coordinators and their services, whilst building friendships along the way.
My responsibilities include collaboratively working alongside Management and our services and strive to ensure we are providing the best quality in care and education within our services.
My interests and hobbies include spending time with family and friends, sports and my two little boys who love football, soccer and of course, ice cream!
These two boys take me right back to my childhood where my own favourite memories are Saturday morning netball, roller-skating down the street and staying out to play until the street lights came on…. And they give me a great excuse to still share a few extra scoops of gelato!!
