World Square Service Coordinator
I have been working in the Early Childhood industry since I joined Active Kids Group in 2006.
In 2012, I took on the role of second in charge at our Cremorne service and also assisted various Active Kids centres in preparing for their assessment and rating. At the end of 2012, I returned to the City service in the same capacity as a room leader in the Toddler room. In 2021, I accepted the role of second in charge of our City Service and in 2023 I became the Service Coordinator.
As a leader, I have learned and grown into a new role that has opened up broader opportunities. In this position, I apply a range of management skills to our daily operations to ensure smooth and efficient routines are maintained.
Throughout my time at AKG, I’ve built strong relationships with children, families and the community. A big part of my job is mentoring and supporting our dedicated educators in the CBD team. The commitment of our educators, the friendships we’ve developed, and the support from our management team fuel my passion. Our City Service has created a nurturing environment for our families and children. Together, we’ve made our centre feel like a second home, filled with laughter, professionalism, consistency and the diverse backgrounds of our educators, all contributing to the happiness of our families.
My teaching philosophy centres on professionalism, positivity and kindness with the motto: “Be you and be someone that matters”. I aim to create a safe space that supports the growth of children, families, educators and the community. In this environment, children can build trust and form positive relationships with their peers and teachers. My goal is to make all families, children, educators, and community partners feel like part of our AKG family through meaningful conversations and active involvement in our events. I believe that collaboration among families, educators, children and the community is key to unlocking each child’s potential. Every day brings new learning opportunities and I’m grateful to be part of our exceptional team.
Outside of work, I love spending time with my large family and enjoy traveling and skiing with my husband each year. I have a background as a professional Thai traditional dancer, having performed at the royal palace in Thailand. I also enjoy reading, cooking, outdoor activities like volleyball, biking, camping, and connecting with family and friends.
