More About Coach Simon
I am currently studying a bachelor of physical education for secondary students at Sydney university to become a high school PDHPE teacher. I have experience coaching a range of kids from toddlers to high school students in a variety of different sports. I currently hold a B license for soccer coaching because I love my soccer and I love my coaching. My favourite subject at school was physical education because playing sports was my favourite pastime and I enjoy learning about the human body and nutrition.
My obsession with soccer as a child opened up opportunities to always be training which ultimately kept me staying active and healthy which was the best outcome. Staying active and healthy allowed me to also do well in my academics because it helped me achieve a balanced lifestyle and improved my ability to time manage. I find working with young people extremely rewarding because helping a young person develop while having fun is the best job in the world.
More About Coach Harry
I love to see children practice new sports and grow as they learn new motor skills. I have coached a wide range of ages, from toddlers to adults over the past 10 years and I have also played soccer in the NSW National Premier League.
Over the last few years I have worked with various preschools and primary schools, gaining the knowledge necessary to develop the motor skills of toddlers and preschoolers. With years of professional training under my belt, having started coaching during high school, I am able to effectively adapt sessions according to skill level and age.
I grew up in a soccer fanatic household and started playing from the age of 3. By starting sport at such a young age, it allowed me to gain the motor skills necessary to pick up other sports later on in life; such as Cricket, AFL and Touch Football. My growth as a coach began as a Sydney FC community coach, followed by roles as Head Coach at Scotts College, Waverley Football Club and Pagewood Botany Football Club. I then took the next step and began to coach multi-sport at preschools across Sydney with Frenzy Sports. I am excited to work with Active Kids Group and grow the sporting and fitness skills of the AKG learners.
More About Coach Frank
My love for sport has helped me grow and coach many different sports over the past 10 years.
I spent many years playing at a high footballing/soccer level, which has enabled me to share my fitness and sporting knowledge with young students. Along with my football background, I also have a C-licence football coaching certificate which aids me in creating and implementing fun and interactive sessions for aspiring junior sport stars!
For most of my coaching career, I have been working with children from the ages of 2 to 12 and I am very excited to see the children at Active Kids Group engage in physical activity. After many years of coaching multi sport with Frenzy Sports, it has helped me understand that children learn new skills in different ways and at different speeds which is why I recap important motor skills each week.
More About Coach Emma
I love sport and it has helped to shape the person I am today. I have played elite AFL football and Touch football. Team sport has showed me importance of working together to achieve a common goal. I love that it teaches us to lift each other up for the greater good, embrace each others differences and work towards joint success.
Teaching kids sport gives me a chance to make a positive impact on young lives and help them grow. Seeing their curiosity, enthusiasm, and progress is incredibly fulfilling. Plus, it’s a joy to witness their excitement and love for learning!
