Moore Park Service Coordinator
I have been part of the AKG team for many years most recently at our Homebush Location and am grateful for the opportunity to now be the Service Coordinator at Moore Park.
I have completed my Diploma in Children’s Services and am currently working towards finishing Early Childhood Degree. My position at AKG Homebush also included the Preschool room Leader, WHS Monitor and Educational Leader.
The team at AKG have always encouraged the professional development of their educators, providing us with training to allow us to continue learning and increase our knowledge.
In my spare time I teach and perform Swing and Rock and Roll Dancing which has taught me about the significance of having people who you can trust in life, working hard towards goals and expressing creativity through the arts.
Growing up I always felt a connection to children and feel that there is a real importance for providing children with quality care and opportunities to have access to all learning opportunities. I feel that the Early Years have such an impact on how children develop and can greatly affect their attitude to learning.
I hope to always provide children with a space where children feel safe and free to be themselves, have confidence to join into play experiences and the drive to follow their own interests.
I have a real passion for understanding what inspires children, how they approach learning and how to use their interests to further their development and knowledge. The service we provide for children should be one where they can escape, the sometimes very hard times of the outside world!
