Experienced Educators: Our dedicated team, led by Service Coordinator Denise—who has been with Active Kids since 2007—brings a wealth of experience and a deep understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) to create meaningful, play-based learning experiences.
Inclusive Curriculum: Our inclusive curriculum is thoughtfully designed to support every stage of early development. We focus on school readiness by helping preschoolers build confidence through fun, practical activities like lunchbox days and school uniform show & tell. Children also develop a strong sense of environmental responsibility through hands-on learning in our nature garden, where they care for plants, herbs, and even a worm farm. At the heart of our approach is a deep commitment to community — we actively foster strong, meaningful partnerships with families and local networks to create a truly enriched learning environment.
Facilities & Programs: Our facilities and programs are thoughtfully designed to inspire curiosity, creativity, and comfort every day. Children learn and grow in large, open learning spaces that promote engagement, and enjoy hands-on experiences in our dedicated mini kitchen. Our on-site chef prepares fresh, nutritious meals daily — including breakfast, lunch, snacks, and afternoon tea — catering to all dietary needs. Through our Learn and Grow program, children participate in enriching activities like fitness, dance, drama, and languages, all led by trained educators. Younger children rest peacefully in our safe sleep environments, while all children benefit from our natural outdoor areas — including a rooftop playground — that encourage exploration and imaginative play.
Parent Communication: Through our secure parent portal, families stay connected with their child’s daily experiences via photos, notes, and stories, fostering a collaborative and transparent environment.

2. How does the Child Care Subsidy (CCS) work?
The Child Care Subsidy (CCS) is a government payment that helps families cover the cost of childcare.
Your out-of-pocket cost depends on:
- Your family income
- The number of hours you work, study, or volunteer
- Your child’s age
- The centre’s hourly rate and cap
At Active Kids Homebush, our fees are competitive – and with the maximum CCS of 95%, you will pay as little as $15 per day.
3. What age groups do you cater for?
We welcome children from 6 weeks to 6 years old, with age-specific programs including:
- Nursery (0–2 years)
- Toddler Room (2–3 years)
- Preschool/Kindergarten (3–6 years)
Each group follows a tailored learning framework designed to support development, curiosity, and confidence.
