Rachelle

Newtown Service Coordinator

My journey in early childhood education began in 2019 at Active Kids, where I started my work placement as an Inclusion Support Educator. From those early days, I embraced various roles, each one shaping my path and passion for nurturing young minds. Initially, I served as a nursery educator, where I developed a foundational understanding of child development and care. My dedication soon led me to the Toddlers room, where I supported children as they took their first significant steps in their learning journey.

Transitioning to a Preschool Assistant Educator, I was entrusted with greater responsibilities, eventually becoming the Preschool Room Leader. In this role, I not only guided young learners but also mentored and supported my colleagues. My commitment to creating a positive and enriching environment was recognized as I took on roles such as 2nd in Charge, Educational Leader, and Work Health and Safety Monitor.

My experience continued to evolve as I served as Acting Coordinator at our Newtown Centre, and after a year, I was honored to become the Centre Coordinator. This role has allowed me to combine my passion for education with my leadership skills, working within a supportive environment that inspires me daily.

What I love most about my role is the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of children, families, and the community. I view my work as a vocation—an opportunity to nurture and shape young minds through education and care. Helping new families adjust to our center and addressing their children’s unique needs is deeply fulfilling. Ensuring a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment is at the heart of my mission.

Being a Centre Coordinator allows me to lead a dedicated team, fostering collaboration and growth, which in turn enhances the experiences of the children in our care. I am committed to continuous improvement and creating an atmosphere where every child feels valued, supported, and inspired to reach their full potential.
