Active Kids Group have opened tours at our child care centre located in the heart of the Sydney CBD. Active Kids World Square, our child care centre in Sydney CBD, has been operating for 15 years and is driven by a strong, dedicated team of long serving educators. Our day care centre coordinator, Evelyn Frawley, has worked with Active Kids World Square since February 2011.
Active Kids World Square and World Tower have recently been rated “Exceeding” National Quality Standards by the Australian Children’s Education & Care Quality Authority (ACECQA).
At our day care in Sydney’s CBD, we engage with our local community and encourage visits from the Navy, Police, Fire and Rescue along with dentists, doctors and members of the Indigenous community. We invite a number of external incursions to come and visit our service including Reptile shows, Braveheart’s and Bandage Bear. We also take the children on excursions to events such as NAIDOC in the Park, Lunar New Year in World Square and also to Castlereagh Fire Station where the children get a chance to meet members of the CBD community first hand.
Our early education centre also celebrates a variety of different events throughout the year which reflect all of our World Square families’ backgrounds and the surrounding community.
Active Kids World Square consists of a purpose-built nursery and preschool centre complete with natural environments, a museum, an art and craft room as well as a community library. Each room is warm, inviting, bright and structured to assist each individual child to learn, investigate, discover and explore. At this early learning centre in Sydney CBD, we have separate modern cot rooms for our under two’s and toilet training facilities for our over two’s. Our extended family consists of fish and other sea creatures including yabbies.
Our large outdoor area features a spectacular natural garden where we also care for our rabbits Hip and Hop as well as budgies, rainbow lorikeets and parrots.
